Iran: Talks With U.S. Can Move Forward Based on Tehran’s National Interests

MT Newswires Live07-20 15:32

Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said negotiations with the United States can proceed based on Iran's national interests.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman stated the memorandum of understanding is clear, leaving no justification for U.S. violations of it, and added that U.S. military strikes against civilian infrastructure constitute assaults on the rights to life, security and human dignity.

I might want to add that the destruction of civilian infrastructure (eg bridges in Iran as well as desalination facilities in Kuwait) are war crimes committed by both (!) parties. I know Iran does quid pro quo and the argument can be made that they didn't start this but still, both sides committing war crimes!
