The core digital economy industry enterprises in Anhui Province have, for the first time during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, surpassed the one-trillion-yuan revenue milestone. It is projected that by 2025, the revenue of these core enterprises will reach 1.3 trillion yuan, achieving an average annual growth rate of 12%. As one of the nation's first pilot provinces for the comprehensive national data element testing zone, Anhui is accelerating its digital and intelligent transformation.
Anhui has implemented critical core technology research initiatives, leading to significant outputs such as the mass production of the country's first fifth-generation ultra-low-power double data rate dynamic random-access memory, the global-leading "Zuchongzhi No. 3" quantum computing prototype, and the "Origin Wukong," which set a new record for the scale of China's independent quantum computing services. The province is also advancing the establishment of high-level research institutions like data spaces and artificial intelligence research institutes to accelerate the output of digital technology innovations.
Focusing on extending, supplementing, and strengthening industrial chains, Anhui is rapidly aggregating its core digital industries. The province is precisely conducting "dual recruitment and dual introduction" efforts for digital sectors like new-generation information technology and artificial intelligence. It has established three national strategic emerging industrial clusters for integrated circuits, new display devices, and artificial intelligence, which have attracted over 2,200 enterprises. The revenue from these clusters is expected to exceed 350 billion yuan by 2025, doubling the figure from the end of the "13th Five-Year Plan" period.
All of Anhui's industrial enterprises above the designated size have initiated digital transformation. Concurrently, the province is actively fostering new models and formats such as live-streaming e-commerce and short-video e-commerce, tapping into new digital consumption scenarios. The province's online retail sales have grown from 300 billion yuan in 2021 to nearly 500 billion yuan in 2024, with an average annual growth of 16.9%. Furthermore, the informatization rate of agricultural production in the province has exceeded 52%, ranking among the highest nationally.
