A-shares' precious metals sector led the gains at the market open, with Hunan Gold Corporation Limited hitting the 10% daily limit-up right at the opening bell.
Stocks including Sichuan Gold, Hengbang Shares, and Xiaocheng Technology also surged by more than 5%.
