Guizhou's New Round of Transmission and Distribution Tariffs Announced, Effective August 2026

Deep News10:00

Guizhou's Development and Reform Commission recently issued a notice specifying matters related to Guizhou Power Grid's transmission and distribution tariffs for the fourth regulatory cycle, which will take effect from August 1, 2026.

According to the notice, the transmission and distribution tariffs for industrial and commercial users at various voltage levels under Guizhou Power Grid during the fourth regulatory cycle have been set.

Residential and agricultural electricity will continue to follow the current catalog sales pricing policy, with prices remaining unchanged.

The transmission price for electricity sent out of the province at each voltage level is set at 0.0302 yuan per kilowatt-hour (including tax, excluding line losses). Line loss costs at the grid connection stage will be listed separately from the transmission and distribution tariff, calculated based on the actual purchased grid electricity price and the grid connection line loss rate.

For electricity within the province at each voltage level, the grid connection line loss rate is 4.5%. For users participating in the province's electricity market transactions, once conditions permit, their corresponding grid connection line loss electricity will be directly purchased by users in the electricity market.

The grid connection line loss rate for electricity sent out of the province at each voltage level is 1.13%.

Pumped storage and grid-side independent new energy storage facilities, when pumping (charging), are treated as users, paying grid connection line loss costs and system operation costs. They will temporarily execute transmission and distribution tariffs as single electricity-rate users. When generating (discharging) electricity, the corresponding transmission and distribution fees will be reduced.

For additional context, the transmission and distribution tariffs for various user categories and voltage levels of Guizhou Power Grid during the third regulatory cycle are provided as a reference.
