The Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and Beijing Stock Exchange released the official trading closure arrangements for the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays on September 17.
According to the announcements, the Mid-Autumn Festival closure is scheduled from Friday, September 25, through Sunday, September 27. Regular trading will resume as usual on Monday, September 28.
For the National Day holiday, markets will be closed from Thursday, October 1, through Wednesday, October 7. Trading will recommence on Thursday, October 8. Additionally, the weekend closures will apply on Sunday, September 20, and Saturday, October 10.
Regarding the Stock Connect program, notices released on the exchanges' official websites indicate that Hong Kong Stock Connect services will be unavailable from Friday, September 25, to Sunday, September 27, for the Mid-Autumn holiday. Services will resume on Monday, September 28. For the National Day period, Stock Connect services will be suspended from Thursday, October 1, through Wednesday, October 7, with normal operations resuming on Thursday, October 8. The weekend closure dates of September 20 and October 10 also apply to this service.
The notices further clarify that all clearing and settlement procedures during the holiday periods will be executed in accordance with the arrangements established by the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited.
To ensure seamless trading after the holiday, the Beijing Stock Exchange has scheduled a system integration test for Tuesday, October 6, from 9:15 AM to 12:00 PM.
