On September 1st, 2026, the majority of domestic futures contracts on major exchanges saw gains, with fewer decliners among the main contracts.
Everest Group (EG) led the rally, climbing more than 6%, followed by methanol which surged over 5%. Other notable gainers included bottle-grade PET, asphalt, PX (para-xylene), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), each advancing more than 4%, while polyester staple fiber and polysilicon posted gains exceeding 3%.
On the losing side, red dates and palladium each fell more than 3%, while live hogs, silver, and apples declined by over 2%. Gold slipped close to 2%, and lithium carbonate shed more than 1%.
Overall market sentiment remained positive, with energy and chemical products leading the upward momentum.
