经历“惊魂一夜”后，韩国股市低开，韩元反弹。韩国KOSPI指数现在跌幅收窄至约1%。隔夜，韩国总统尹锡悦深夜宣布“紧急戒严”，戒严令持续逾六小时即解除。
韩国金融委员会委员长金秉焕表示，将动用一切可用措施，确保金融市场正常且稳定地运行；10万亿韩元的股市平准基金将随时投入运行，债券市场和资本市场方面将最大限度启用最规模达40万亿韩元
据央视新闻，韩国最大在野党共同民主党4日敦促总统尹锡悦立即下台。共同民主党方面同时表示，如果尹锡悦不主动辞职，将推进弹劾程序。
共同民主党当天在国会召开紧急议员总会后发表了这一决定。共同民主党称，“尹锡悦总统宣布紧急戒严令明显违反了宪法，他没有遵守宣布（紧急戒严令）所必需的任何条件。”
