According to reports from People's Financial News on September 3rd, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology Innovation have recently issued a work plan to promote the high-quality development of the intelligent robotics industry for the period from 2026 to 2028.
The plan outlines a strategy for hosting premium events in the sector. To foster coordinated growth across the entire robotics industry chain and target key areas such as technological innovation, supply-demand matching, international collaboration, and the commercialization of research outcomes, the city will proceed with hosting the FAIR PLUS (Full Industry-link Robotics Association) conference on an ongoing basis. The goal is to establish this event as a signature brand within the robotics field for both Shenzhen and the broader Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Moreover, the initiative includes staging major robotics competitions annually. These contests are expected to accelerate the progression of crucial robotics technologies through the competitive process. In a bid to lower the entry barrier for young talent to engage in robotics innovation, the local government will also continue supporting activities such as the "Chuangxue Camp" and similar programs. These efforts are designed to recruit outstanding participants from elite universities worldwide and encourage their involvement in the field's technological advancement.
