Tesla Motors rose by 4.73%. Tesla benefited from reports that President-elect Donald Trump is seeking to create a federal framework for self-driving cars. Wedbush Securities rated Tesla as "outperform" with a target price of $400, citing potential regulatory support for autonomous vehicles.
Microsoft declined by 0.62%. Citigroup significantly increased its holdings in Tesla and Russell 2000 ETF put options while reducing its stake in Microsoft during the third quarter.
Alphabet increased by 0.40%. A Russian court fined Alphabet's Google 3.8 million rubles for failing to remove prohibited content. This is part of Russia's ongoing efforts to enforce its content regulations on foreign tech platforms.
Netflix fell by 0.77%.
