At Davos | NVIDIA's Jensen Huang in Conversation with BlackRock's Larry Fink: My Biggest Regret Was Selling Stock to Buy a Car

Deep News01-21 18:53

During the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 on January 21, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang held a conversation with BlackRock CEO Larry Fink.

Larry Fink joked that while both companies had their IPOs in 1999, his firm's annualized investment return was 21%, compared to NVIDIA's 37%. Jensen Huang stated that his biggest regret was selling NVIDIA stock when the company's market capitalization was $300 million to buy his parents a Mercedes-Benz car, calling it "the most expensive car in the world."

It is understood that NVIDIA is the first publicly traded company in history to achieve a market capitalization exceeding $5 trillion.
