Hassett Plays Down AI Financing Fears: No Broad Selloff Expected
Deep News11-02 21:40
National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett said the AI sector has "ample funding supply" and the industry does not face the risk of a sweeping selloff.
He noted that some companies carry high levels of debt, but deep-pocketed giants with both equity and debt exposure in the sector can be found throughout the market; should any company run into trouble, these giants might look to step in and take over.
He added: "But I think it may not necessarily come to that."
"The market will sometimes see small pullbacks, but I do not think a broad selloff will happen at all."
