On the other hand, inflation for recreation and culture, and miscellaneous goods and services are expected to go down.\nThe June 2021 results also suggest that there is some limited increase in household spending on housing and utilities, offsetting lower transportation expenses whilst work-from-home arrangements are still prevalent.\n“As vaccination progresses and gradual economic re-opening comes into focus, consumer confidence is likely to improve, which may also be associated with a rise in inflation expectations. But having recovered earlier this year, price expectations have stabilised in Singapore.
