The following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Thursday (Dec 7):
Keppel Corporation (Keppel) and GenZero have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, otherwise known as COP28, to jointly pursue opportunities to accelerate the transition to clean energy and the development of sustainable fuel projects across the Asia-Pacific region.
ComfortDelGro will be raising taxi fares and extending surcharge hours from Dec 13, the listed transport behemoth said on Wednesday. There will be a S$0.50 increase in flag-down fares and a S$0.01 rise for distance and waiting time fares for regular taxis. This adjustment will apply to the Hyundai i40, Hyundai Ioniq, Hyundai Kona, BYD e6, Toyota Prius, and Toyota Sienta taxis.
SingPost will be introducing a S$0.05 rate hike for most international airmail letters, printed papers, aerogrammes and postcards from Jan 1, 2024. Exceptions include rates for aerogrammes to Malaysia and Brunei, which will remain at S$0.80 per piece, as well as mail charges for additional weightage. For aerogrammes to all countries except Malaysia and Brunei, the new rate will be S$0.85, up from S$0.80 currently.
Securities Investors Association (Singapore) has posed a string of questions to the manager of Manulife US Real Estate Investment Trust (MUST) on the plans to raise funds through a mix of asset dispositions and a sponsor-lender loan. The investor watchdog met the sponsor, the senior management of the Reit’s manager, and about 300 unitholders on a virtual platform on Wednesday (Dec 6) to better understand the fund-raising proposal announced on Nov 29.
