MW Nio, XPeng report big gains in first-quarter deliveries
Nio $(NIO)$, the Chinese electric vehicle maker, said it set a new monthly record of 7,257 deliveries, with 20,060 deliveries in the first quarter, a gain of 423% year-over-year. Another Chinese EV maker, XPeng $(XPEV)$, said March deliveries were 5,102, and first-quarter deliveries jumped 487% to 13,340. Nio shares ended Wednesday up 4% to $38.98, and XPeng rose 8% to $36.51 on Wednesday.
