It's not just the certifications to run the business, but we also have to look at how busy cities which have congestion problems would not be able to use this technology because their airspace is already filled with planes. Not to mention safety issues, so it is highly unlikely that this can reach the economy of scale and profitability that uber has.

"Even if the artificial intelligence-based technology works and reduces car collisions, every accident is a major lawsuit waiting to happen."This is so true, unless all or most of the self-driven cars are rolled out altogether, any company that roll them out first would have to face the music of the lawsuit if an accident were to happen.

Lilium (LILM) is another alternative that investors can look at. The landscape is very competitive though. Aerospace giants like Airbus & Embraer have eVTOL aircraft in prototype. The other eVTOLs in the market are EH & ACHR. Evidence of flight, safety record and reasonable operating costs had yet to be demonstrated by the players. Whether the TAM is really that big is another unknown.

Lawsuits are a problem for driving but not for flights, because i guess the chance of survival is 0. Cant sue them if you're all dead 🙄This is still worth a gamble, but sometimes their justification is just lazy and stupid.

The propellor noise, public safety, high risk low altitude flights and crazy insurance coverage would kill this or put it years in the future.  Or it'll just end up as tourist novelty. Whatever it is, just for intraday swing trade.
