Singapore Shares Drop 0.6% as China Steps Up Covid-19 Curbs

Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index closed 0.6% lower at 3205.69.
Tighter pandemic restrictions across China are likely posing another risk and weighing on Asian markets, IG analyst Jun Rong Yeap says in a note.
Declines were led by a mixed bag of companies. Nio slid 3.3%, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding dropped 3.2%, Thai Beverage fell 1.6%, Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust was 1.5% lower, Singtel and OCBC lost 1.1%.
Gainers included City Developments Ltd., which added 1.1%.
