Bullshit story. First of all Ross Gerber was on the gas thus overriding FSD. Secondly he turned a default setting off, causing the car not to apply full brakes in certain battery states (when it's fully charged or the battery is too cold). Lastly the driver is responsible at all time to intervene, so what? It's an edge case as reported (stop line very far from the actual stop sign)and as a matter of fact he brought the car to a standstill just before the stop line. So it didn't even ran the stop sign. Dan O'Dowd owna a company that is the maincompetitor for self driving software, eg used in Mobileye software that legacy OEM's use.
