1605 ET - Major U.S. stock indexes end slightly lower a day after all three finished in record territory. The DJIA briefly eclipsed the 40,000 mark for the first time helped in part by Walmart's 7% rise after it posted strong 1Q results and lifted it's full-year outlook. Chubb gains 4.7% after Berkshire Hathaway revealed the insurer as its mystery stock pick in a SEC filing on Wednesday. Consumer staples were the only sector to rise as Walmart results helped lift some rivals. DJIA slips 38 points, or 0.1%, to 39869, the S&P 500 falls 0.2% to 5297 and the Nasdaq drops 0.3% to 16698.
