MT Newswires Live09-18 20:46

General Motors (GM) said Wednesday its electric vehicle customers will be able to access Tesla's (TSLA) Supercharger network using a specific GM-approved adapter.

The company said the new North American Charging Standard Direct Current adapters, available first in the US and later in Canada, will allow EV drivers to use Tesla's more than 17,800 charging stations, bringing General Motors' total North American charging options to more than 231,800 public level 2 and DC fast chargers.

The adapters, carrying a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $225, will be available through GM vehicle apps, which will also allow users to find, start, and pay for charging sessions, General Motors said.

Price: 47.56, Change: +0.04, Percent Change: +0.08
