i3 Verticals appointed Geoff Smith as chief financial officer, with former CFO Clay Whitson taking up the newly-created position of chief strategy officer.
The software company said Smith was promoted to the role from his prior position as senior vice president of finance.
In his new chief strategy officer role, Whitson will focus on capital allocation, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations, the company said.
