Symbotic to Implement Warehouse Automation Systems for Walmart in Mexico

Symbotic (SYM) said Thursday that it has signed commercial agreements to implement its warehouse automation systems in two greenfield distribution centers of Walmart (WMT) subsidiary Walmart de Mexico y Centroamerica near Mexico City.
Symbotic said the first site is currently breaking ground in the Bajio region of Mexico. Financial details were not provided.
The company also said it has established a new business entity, Symbotic Mexico, to serve customers in Mexico.
Symbotic shares were up more than 3% in recent premarket activity.
