1003 ET - U.S. executives are facing pointed questions about their companies' resilience to potential tariffs from the Trump White House and have been quick to cite their readiness. Last week Paul Sternlieb, CEO of Wisconsin-based Enerpac, emphasized to analysts that the firm's largest manufacturing facility is in the U.S. and that it imports relatively few inputs from China, Canada and Mexico. Lennar Co-CEO Jonathan Jaffe told analysts the homebuilder has made an intentional shift in the past eight years so that now, "the majority of what we purchase from our supply chain is from U.S. based manufacturers." Peter Warwick, CEO of children's book publisher Scholastic, said to analysts that the company's inventory management means little cost exposure to potential tariffs through the first half of fiscal 2026.
