MT Newswires Live03-06

Canadian Solar (CSIQ) said Thursday e-STORAGE, part of its majority-owned CSI Solar subsidiary, has won battery supply and long-term service agreements for two major US battery energy storage projects, developed by Aypa Power.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The agreements cover the supply and commissioning of a 160 megawatt battery energy storage system in California and a 200 megawatt project in Texas, the company said.

The projects will use about 370 SolBank 3.0 units, with construction expected to begin in Q3, the company said.

Following commissioning, e-STORAGE will oversee maintenance and operations under a 20-year agreement, the company said.
