CATL's 2024 Profit Up 15%, Revenue Down 10%, Missing Estimate

Contemporary Amperex Technology (SHE:300750), or CATL, posted 2024 net profit attributable to shareholders of 50.7 billion yuan, up 15% from 44.1 billion yuan the previous year, according to a Saturday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
Earnings per share climbed year over year to 11.58 yuan from 10.05 yuan. The figure missed analysts' 11.76 yuan forecast compiled by FactSet.
The battery maker's revenue slumped 9.7% to 362.0 billion yuan from 400.9 billion yuan, also missing the FactSet estimate of 370 billion yuan.
A cash dividend of 45.53 yuan will be distributed to all shareholders for every 10 shares.
CATL's shares were down 1% in recent trade.
