BUZZ-China's BYD shares hit record high on 5-minute charging tech

** Hong Kong shares of Chinese electric vehicle-maker BYD Co Ltd 1211.HK rise 4.2% to a record high of HK$418.4, and on track for the second session of gains

** Shenzhen-listed stock 002594.SZ climbs 3.7% to all-time high at 398.86 yuan

** BYD on Monday unveiled a new "super e-platform" for EVs and the platform will be capable of peak charging speeds of 1,000 kilowatts (kW) enabling cars that use it to travel 400 km (249 miles) on a 5-minute charge, and the company would build a charging network across China

** BYD aims to complete works to picking a location for a third plant in Europe in 7 to 8 months as it prepares to launch operations at its first facility in the region, in Hungary, the EV giant's special adviser for Europe said on Tuesday

** Hang Seng Tech Index .HSTECH slips 0.8%, while Hang Seng Index .HSI adds 0.1%

** YTD, Hong Kong stock up 55.7%, Shenzhen shares up 36.1%
