1759 GMT - German auto-parts supplier Robert Bosch says planned U.S. tariffs on imports of vehicles and select components are a challenge for the entire global auto industry. The company says it is evaluating how the proposed tariffs will affect its global and regional operations. Bosch prioritizes a local-for-local strategy, but works in an international production network and has global operations, it says. "It is essential to maintain a level-playing field for the European automotive industry, and especially for the supplier industry, so that it can assert itself in global competition," Bosch says. "We rely on political decision-makers to continue the dialogue to jointly find a solution to the current complex situation." (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
