France-based videogame maker Ubisoft created a new subsidiary valued at 4 billion euros, with Tencent Holdings (HKG:0700) investing 1.16 billion euros as a minority stakeholder, Reuters reported Thursday.
The unit will oversee development for major franchises, including Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, across studios in Canada, Spain, and Bulgaria. The deal is set to close before the end of 2025, the report said.
