Stocks to Watch: Microsoft, Meta, Robinhood, Amazon -- WSJ

Dow Jones05-01

By WSJ Staff

Tesla $(TSLA)$: The company's board has opened a search for finding the electric-vehicle maker's next chief executive, The Wall Street reported. Shares were little changed premarket.

Microsoft $(MSFT)$: The software company reported strong growth in revenue and earnings, and gave projections for this quarter that exceeded expectations. Shares jumped more than 8% premarket.

Meta Platforms $(META)$: The social-media company said its sales grew by 16%, beating expectations, and indicated growth would likely remain steady in the coming months. That helped assuage concerns tariffs will harm its digital-ads business. Shares rose more than 6% premarket.

Robinhood (HOOD): The trading platform's revenue soared year-over-year as net deposits rose to a new high, fueled in part by cryptocurrency transactions. Shares rose about 3% premarket.

Apple $(AAPL)$: Shares of the iPhone maker fell more than 1% premarket after a judge ruled it violated an antitrust ruling related to App Store restrictions. The company is due to report earnings after markets close, along with Amazon $(AMZN)$.

Moderna $(MRNA)$, CVS Health $(CVS)$, Eli Lilly $(LLY)$, McDonald's $(MCD)$ and Mastercard $(MA)$ will report earnings before markets open.
