Chatham Rock Phosphate (NZE:CRP) is seeking investors to become a 49% shareholder in the special purpose vehicle established for the RailPhos project, which would connect the Korella North Mine to the planned phosphate export facility in the Port of Karumba in Queensland, according to a Friday filing with the New Zealand bourse.
In line with the ongoing feasibility study for the project, the company has conducted additional reviews of previous rail project feasibility studies, such as the Mount Isa to Tennant Creek project and the Carpentaria project from Mount Isa to Karumba, the filing said.
Additionally, a meeting has been set with Queensland Rail for an inspection of rail infrastructure east of Cloncurry, which will serve as the starting point for the Cloncurry to Port of Karumba railway, per the filing.
