OMRON to Explore Spin-Off of Device & Module Solutions Business by April 2026

OMRON (TYO:6645) said its board resolved to begin considering the spin-off of its Device & Module Solutions Business (DMB), targeting an effective date of April 1, 2026, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The unit, which makes relays, switches, and connectors, faces growing competition and rising demand for high-capacity relays for EVs.

OMRON said an independent management structure would help DMB accelerate decision-making, boost cost competitiveness, expand investment in R&D, and explore external collaborations.
