U.K. Housebuilders Shares Fall on England's House Price Wane -- Market Talk

0838 GMT - Shares in U.K. housebuilders are down as annual house-price growth in England slowed to 1.6% from 2.5% in the second quarter, according to Nationwide's house-price index. Average house-price growth in southern England slowed to 0.7%, due to a marked softening in price growth in the outer metropolitan and outer southeast areas. The outer southeast was the weakest-performing region, with annual growth of 0.3%, according to the index. Shares in M.J. Gleeson are down 2.1%, Persimmon falls 0.9%, and Bellway loses 0.7%.
