US Senator Elizabeth Warren said Friday that Netflix's (NFLX) $72 billion deal for Warner Bros. Discovery's (WBD) film and streaming assets could be an "anti-monopoly nightmare."
The acquisition will create "one massive media giant with control of close to half of the streaming market" that could result in higher prices and fewer choices, Senator Warren said in a post on social media platform X.
Netflix and Warner Bros. didn't immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
