AksharChem (India) Commissions 5.19 MWp Captive Solar Power Plant in Gujarat

AksharChem (India) (NSE:AKSHARCHEM, BOM:524598) has commissioned a captive solar power plant in Gujarat, India, with a 5.19 MWp (DC)/3.85 MWp (AC) capacity, according to an Indian bourse filing on Thursday.

Power generation from the plant commenced on Nov. 12, and the project will be used for captive consumption at its manufacturing facility at Indrad (Chhatral), the company said in the filing.

Shares of the company fell nearly 1% in Friday's trade.
