Metallium (ASX:MTM) said commissioning started at its Texas Technology Campus after completing the first chlorine flash, the first integrated operation of the flash joule heating-chlorination process, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The company said the demonstration line was fully operational and will be used for feedstock qualification, process optimization, as well as customer and partner testing programs.
The first stage of operations will be focused on the recovery of gold, copper, silver, and tin from printed circuit board feedstocks, per the filing. The company is targeting an incremental scale-up toward 8,000 tonnes per year of stage-1 printed circuit board throughput by the third quarter of 2026.
The company is also working on plans for a gallium and germanium processing line at the campus.
Metallium's shares jumped 9% in recent Monday trade.
