U.K. Banks' CDS Costs Stay Stable at Low Levels -- Market Talk

1507 GMT - The cost of insuring U.K. bank bonds against default is stable at fairly low levels. Investors are increasingly optimistic about U.K. assets such as stocks and corporate bonds as their provide diversification from U.S. assets amid concerns about tech stocks valuations. "The U.K. market is expected to deliver solid earnings growth in 2026," Aberdeen Investments' Rebecca Maclean says in a note. HSBC Holdings' 5-year credit default swap spreads continue to trade at a 3.5-month low of 46 basis points after falling to that level on Dec 30, S&P Global Market Intelligence data show.
