China's Freshly Made Drink Sector Is Consolidating -- Market Talk
Dow Jones01-08
0802 GMT - China's freshly made drink sector is consolidating as market leaders gain share through strong branding and supply-chain capabilities, attracting franchisees with sustainable paybacks, Jefferies analysts say in a research note. Mixue dominates the mass-market segment, while Guming is steadily scaling up via regional densification, they say. For Chagee, a more premium brand, the Jefferies analysts reckon that the execution of its high-quality development strategy is key in 2026. "We favor mass-market and mid-priced tiers for stronger growth visibility, supported by lower-tier city penetration and value-for-money positioning amid consumer trade-down," they add.
