Solid Momentum for Domestic Airlines Entering 2026 -- Market Talk

Dow Jones01-08

1250 ET - The domestic airline industry is entering 2026 with solid momentum amid favorable supply dynamics and signs that demand is ticking up following the government shutdown, TD Cowen's Tom Fitzgerald writes in a note, raising price targets for American, Delta, JetBlue, and United Airlines. Fitzgerald says that United and Delta are his top two picks, but writes that shares of both are probably fully valued in the short-term. Alaska Air Lines is his third top pick, and Fitzgerald says he would view any volatility in shares as a buying opportunity, "although there is likely more upside later in the year as the market gains more clarity on the company's EPS growth potential for 2027."
