Cboe Global Markets (CBOE) said late Tuesday that the average daily trading volume of index options reached 5.0 million contracts in December, up about 25.7% from a year earlier.
Trading volume for multi-listed options declined about 2.6% year over year to 11.6 million contracts, while futures volume fell roughly 15.9% to 179,000 contracts, the company said.
