Amazon.com (AMZN) plans to open a new 229,000 square foot physical shopping store concept outside of Chicago in Orland Park, Illinois, Bloomberg reported on Friday.
The store will follow a similar model to competitors such as Walmart (WMT) and Target (TGT), the report said.
The construction will begin later in 2026, subject to approvals from the officials of Chicago.
Amazon.com and the Orland Park Planning Commission didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
