OpenAI Acquires 3-Person Team Behind Convogo

Dow Jones01-09

By Elias Schisgall

OpenAI is acquiring the three-person team behind the leadership development software startup Convogo, according to an OpenAI spokesperson.

Convogo co-founders Matt Cooper, Evan Cater, and Mike Gillett will join OpenAI as part of the all-stock deal, the spokesperson said. OpenAI is not acquiring any of Convogo's intellectual property.

Linkedin accounts for the three co-founders say that each has been a "member of the technical staff" at OpenAI since November.

News Corp, owner of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires, has a content-licensing partnership with OpenAI.
