MT Newswires Live01-15
A pilot led by ANZ NZ and 2degrees is seeking to detect, disrupt, and block phishing websites within the first hour of a webpage going live, according to a Thursday statement.
The pilot includes an unnamed New Zealand start-up as well as Kiwibank, TSB, One NZ, Spark, and Trade Me. The firms involved in the collaboration disrupted over 5,000 domains in the past two months, per the statement.
The pilot led to a 39% reduction in card phishing cases involving ANZ customers in two months.
ANZ Group Holdings' (ASX:ANZ, NZE:ANZ) shares rose nearly 2% in recent trading on Thursday.
