Chinese automakers and government discuss chip shortage and exports BEIJING, Jan 26 (Reuters) - An automotive industry meeting attended by multiple Chinese government departments including the state planner and industry ministry discussed intense sector competition, chip shortages and exports among other issues, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said on Monday.
Executives from FAW, Dongfeng 600006.SS, SAIC Motor 600104.SS, Changan 000625.SZ and BAIC 1958.HK were present at the meeting, the CAAM statement said.
