CATL Issues 5 Billion Yuan in Green Tech Bonds

Contemporary Amperex Technology or CATL (SHE:300750, HKG:3750) issued green technology bonds worth 5 billion yuan, according to a Tuesday disclosure on the Shenzhen bourse.
The battery manufacturer's Shenzhen shares rose less than 1% during Wednesday morning trade.
The bonds have a coupon rate of 1.70% and a term of up to five years, with an option to adjust the coupon rate at the end of the third year and an investor put option.
China Merchants Bank (SHA:600036, HKG:3968) is the bookrunner and lead underwriter for the issuance.
