The United Arab Emirates said early Friday its security apparatus has arrested a network of individuals funded by Iran and Hezbollah. The network had been operating within the country under a fictitious commercial cover and sought to infiltrate the national economy and carry out external schemes threatening the country's financial stability, the State Security Apparatus said in a statement.
Since the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran began, several countries in the Gulf-including Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain-have arrested what they describe as terrorist cells linked to Iran and Lebanese militia Hezbollah.
