Dow Jones03-20 11:39

By Jon Emont

Gulf countries are intercepting drone and missile attacks in the early hours of Friday morning, as Muslims around the region celebrate the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense said it intercepted nearly two dozen drones in separate attacks. Bahrain's government announced that shrapnel fell onto a company warehouse after an Iranian attack, though the fire was controlled without any injuries. The United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Defense said it is intercepting missiles and drones and urged the public to adhere to safety protocols. The Kuwaiti Armed Forces said any exploding sounds are the result of air-defense systems engaged against hostile targets.
