Iran Spokesman Killed Hours Before Statement Issued in His Name -- WSJ

Ali Mohammad Naini, spokesman for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was killed Friday in a dawn airstrike, according to the Iranian state broadcaster IRIB. The IRGC offered Naini "congratulations and condolences on the honorable martyrdom."

Hours after the strike that killed him, Iran's official Tasnim news agency issued a statement in Naini's name saying that Israeli and U.S. attacks had failed to hamper Iran's missile and rocket production.
