Dollar, Treasury Yields Turn Lower on Hopes Strait of Hormuz Will Reopen -- Market Talk

0739 GMT - The dollar and U.S. Treasury yields turn lower on hopes for an agreement to reopen the critical Strait of Hormuz. Al Arabiya reports that talks to gradually reopen the Strait are ongoing and there could be a breakthrough in coming hours. It follows media reports Wednesday that a U.S.-Iran peace deal was within reach. The DXY dollar index falls 0.1% to an intraday low of 97.856. The 10-year Treasury yield falls 3 basis points to 4.324%, Tradeweb data show. Both assets were trading stable earlier. (renae.dyer@wsj.com)
