Nvidia (NVDA) has launched RTX Spark, a new AI chip that will feature in Microsoft (MSFT) Windows laptops and desktop personal computers, the company said Monday.

The "Superchip," designed for AI, creating and gaming, features an Nvidia Blackwell RTX graphics processing unit, the company said. The chip has 1 petaflop of AI compute and 128gb of unified memory, it said.

MediaTek collaborated with NVIDIA on the design, it said.

Microsoft, in a blog post, said that starting this Fall, RTX Spark will power its Windows laptops, including Microsoft Surface, and those of its PC partners ASUS, Dell (DELL), HP (HPQ), Lenovo, and MSI.

Dell said that RTX Spark powers its new XPS 16 laptop, featuring smoother 4K timeline playback, faster exports, better multitasking, and more responsive AI-assisted work.

HP said it has launched new artificial intelligence-focused PCs and computing systems, including devices powered by the RTX Spark platform.
