IBM周二盘前发布第二季度业绩预警，因营收和利润均低于市场预期，引发市场对企业技术支出前景的广泛担忧，拖累软件板块集体走低。微软、ServiceNow、Salesforce等公司股价盘前一度下跌3%至7%不等。
IBM预计第二季度营收约为172亿美元，调整后每股收益约为2.93美元，均低于分析师预期。公司首席执行官阿温德·克里希纳表示，在6月最后几周，客户将季度资本支出大规模转向服务器、存储设备和内存的采购，以在预期价格上涨前锁定供应，从而削减了在IBM软件产品上的支出。他承认公司未能及时预判并适应这一变化。
这一预警被视为企业IT支出从软件向人工智能基础设施转移的又一迹象。受此影响，追踪软件行业的ETF普遍走低，市场对科技巨头即将公布的财报持更谨慎态度。IBM股价当日暴跌逾20%，创下数十年来最大单日跌幅，并拖累道琼斯工业平均指数表现。
