President Donald Trump on August 12 claimed on X that the United States has total control over the Strait of Hormuz and intends to maintain it, describing the naval blockade as "a wall of steel" that Iran cannot challenge.
"The U.S.A. has total control over the Strait of Hormuz. I THINK WE WILL KEEP IT! Our Naval Blockade is being called, by everyone, 'A WALL OF STEEL,' and there is nothing Iran can do about it," Trump wrote. He asserted that Iran lacks a navy, an air force, and its remaining soldiers are unpaid, while the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is "decimated and fleeing." Trump further claimed Iran's leadership is "uncertain, at best," the country is "shot" with no money, and its economy suffers from 300% inflation.
Trump concluded that Iran is "all talk and no action" and no longer the "Bully of the Middle East," ending his post with "Praise be to Allah!" The post was signed as "President DONALD J. TRUMP."
